A bit late with this post...

Procrastination got the better of me.  I'm a bad blogger..I know...  However with Lent merely days away I feel like I have a new sense of resolve.  So in honor of Lent... here is what I'll be doing for my Lenten promise.

  1. Give up Diet Coke/Pepsi.  I drink way too much of it!
  2. Put away things as soon as I am done using them.
  3. Write in my blog at least every other day.  Even if it is only to post what I plan to accomplish that day.
  4. Stop stressing about having a baby.  This will be easier said than done.  I just have to focus on the "now" instead of what might happen.  (I will be talking to a doctor in April and if need be get some info on what is next.)  I just have to put it in God's hands.
  5. Just work on being a better person.  Listen, love, laugh, hug, kiss, help, sympathize, do more...basically.
It is quite a list that I have got going for me!  I hope I can stick to it!

So now...without further ado...  What I will do today!

  1. Put away laundry done from this weekend.
  2. Do a load today.
  3. Organize book shelf in the living room.

I'm slacking...

This usually happens when I start a blog...I'm good for a couple of days and then I slack off.  I will try to remedy that.  Anyway, Not to much is going on...  I having ben getting plagued  by headaches that just refuse to leave even after I take Tylenol.  I am wondering if it is because I typically don't drink a lot of water durng the day and that is catching up with me.  So I am home today hydrating myself and taking it easy and hopefully conquer my headache before Mr.McS comes home from work.  Please forgive me if  my To Do list is a little light today.

To Do:
  1. Wash a load of the Mr.'s laundry
  2. Call PetSmart and see if Banfield is open yet.
  3. Schedule a grooming appointment for Lacey.

Got to get my butt in gear!

Yesterday was bad...I wasn't even the list bit productive.  I mean really not even a little bit.  Too make me seem even lazier...  I only completed one thing from Thursday's to do list.  :(  So today will be different even though its a Saturday.  I have to get as much done today as I can because tomorrow I will be way to excited about the Super Bowl to do much!  Being that I only have a limited time to blog this morning I will cut straight to the chase and post my to do list for today.

To Do List:
  1. Pick up my Bridesmaid dress.
  2. Take down the Christmas Tree.
  3. Clean up the living room.
  4. Vacuum downstairs.

Earth to Erin...

I think I might need a reality check...  But it seems that everything is aligning so perfectly as far as my cycle is concerned this month. I'm almost giddy with the prospect that this could be "the month"...the one where we finally snag the elusive BFP.  Mr. McS is working more normal hours and is home more.  And possibly the most promising part of this whole thing... I will most likely be ovulating around Valentine's Day which also happens to be my birthday.  What could be luckier than that?!  I'm putting all of my eggs in one basket.  I think is ok...even good to go into each cycle with a positive attitude.  However, I think I might be taking this to a dangerous level.  If I continue with my current expectations if I do not get pregnant this cycle... I will be crushed.  So please... help me see some reason!  In the mean time I will sit here and drink my green tea and try to be rational.

In other news... yesterday's to do list was completed!  While our tree is technically still up it has no ornaments on it.  :)  Overall I am pleased that I am getting little things done around the house that I normally just let go.  Eventually I will have to step up my game and do a little more or my house will never get clean!  I am doing ok and keeping up with the household part of my plan but I do need to start doing more for me.  I know I need to suck it up and get up early to work out...  Why does it seem so hard to take that initial plunge?

To Do List:
  1. Put away laundry from yesterday.
  2. Tidy up the living room.
  3. Vacuum.
Have a great day everyone!

Day 3

I am happy to report that I accomplished everything that was on my "To Do" list yesterday!  Today I am already off to a good start.  I have finally purchased plastic containers to hold our Christmas Tree Ornaments... Yes, thats right... you read correctly. Our tree is still up and decorated although it has not been lit since early January.  I mean to correct that today!  Maybe I can persuade Mr. McS to take down the outside decor soon.

My To Do List
  1. Take down and store the indoor decorations
  2. Clean off dining room table

Snowed In!

Actually iced in...but really even that has been downgraded as it is above freezing.  Our porch is a death trap though so the fact that schools are closed and I don't have to work is A OK with me!  I guess that makes it a great day to be productive around the house!  Yesterday I only got half of the things done on my list.  I picked up the Mr.'s new glasses (he looks so cute in them!) and went to the bank.  The dishes did not get done nor did the laundry get put.  But that is what today is for!

I know everyone is dealing with varying stages of this snow/ice storm so please be safe and stay warm!

My To Do List:
  1. Put away laundry
  2. Wash and change the sheets
  3. Do 2 loads of laundry
I omitted washing the dishes becase Mr. McS said that he would do them.  :)

My First Day

Of the rest of my life!  And while there are so many things I should be doing I'm here...procrastinating as usual...  But don't give up on me yet!  As this is jst my kick off post it hardly counts as procrastinating as I have been meaning to do this for quite some time.  So let me start at the beginning....
Hi...my name is Erin... and I am a slob.  I don't mean to be...it just sort of happens over time.  But I am hoping that this blog will help make me more accountable for my actions.  To help with this I intend to list a few things I intend to do each day to help get my life back in order.

Before I truly get started on my project thought I would introduce myself a little bit better:
I married my husband and best friend November 29, 2008.  It was the best decision of my life!  He puts a smile on my face every day.

We also have a 4 year old dog named Lacey who pretty much rules the house.  We affectionately call her the "First born".  As of now we don't have any two-legged babies but we are hoping to change that.  In fact, that is one of the reasons I decided to start my "Day by Day" journey.  Mr. McS and I desperately want children and have been trying for just over a year.  I am hoping that working on getting myself and my house in good condition will help with that.  We might still be have to see a fertility specialist in a few months but I will feel better about that if I know that I have been doing everything I can on the homefront.

I hope that I will acquire a few readers during this process as positive feedback can only help at this point!  So without further adieu...I leave you with my list of things I will accomplish today!

  1. Go to the bank.
  2. Pick up Mr. McS's glasses from the eye doctor.
  3. Put away the laundry.
  4. Wash the dishes in the sink.
